The School of Computer Application & Business Administration (SCABA) is an academic unit established with the objective of providing quality education in the fields of computer applications and business administration, addressing the evolving needs of the digital economy and modern business environment. The School focuses on developing technically competent and professionally skilled graduates through a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge, practical exposure, and value-based education.
SCABA offers two undergraduate programs:
The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program is designed to build a strong foundation in computer science and information technology. The curriculum covers core areas such as programming, data structures, database management systems, software engineering, web technologies, and emerging domains including data analytics, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing. Emphasis is laid on hands-on laboratory work, mini and major projects, internships, and application-oriented learning to prepare students for careers in the IT industry and higher education.
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program aims to nurture future managers and entrepreneurs by imparting comprehensive knowledge of business and management principles. The program includes subjects related to management, marketing, finance, human resources, operations, business analytics, entrepreneurship, and digital business. Case studies, presentations, industry interactions, internships, and skill development activities are integral components of the curriculum, enabling students to gain practical insights into real-world business scenarios.
The School of Computer Application & Business Administration emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, innovation, communication skills, teamwork, leadership, and ethical values. Students are encouraged to participate in workshops, seminars, certification programs, industrial visits, and co-curricular activities to enhance their professional competence and employability.

The “School of Engineering & Management”, approved by AICTE, is the eighth constituent unit of the D. Y. Patil Education Society (Deemed to be University), Kolhapur, which is nationally regarded as one of the preferred destinations for pursuing academic programs in Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Hospitality Studies, Allied Health Sciences, Pharmacy, and Interdisciplinary Studies along with cutting edge research in interdisciplinary fields specially in health sciences, stem cells, tissue engineering, nano-materials, and energy storage devices. DYPES was granted the status of a Deemed to be University by the then Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, under Section 3 of University Grants Commission Act on September 01, 2005.
The School of Engineering & Management is established to provide education in engineering, technology, management and computer applications in order to contribute to the pool of acclaimed technocrats and managers. The programs in engineering and technology under the ‘School’ are aimed to enable the students to work on emerging technological areas such as intelligent machines, software, or applications with a cutting-edge combination of computer technology, core engineering, nanotechnology, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented and virtual reality, analytics and visualization technologies, to satisfy engineering, healthcare and agriculture-based needs. The programs are laid to emphasis on interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches to address the challenges of developing world by ethical values and knowledge base.
The ‘School’ offers four B. Tech. programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Data Science, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and two PG programs namely MBA and MCA from academic session 2023-24 approved by AICTE.
